Zurich Launches Climate Spotlight in Asia Pacific

Advanced climate risk analysis tool supports smarter decisions and long-term resilience for businesses and communities

Hong Kong, September 11, 2025 Zurich Resilience Solutions, the commercial risk advisory and services unit of Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich), today announces the launch of Climate Spotlight in Asia Pacific, expanding its comprehensive climate resilience offering to the region. At the heart of this service is Climate Spotlight, Zurich’s award-winning, interactive digital tool that leverages climate data to help businesses, municipalities, and public entities anticipate, mitigate, and manage climate risks - building resilience for the future

The regional rollout comes at a critical time. According to the World Meteorological Organization, Asia is warming at twice the global average rate1. A recent study by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, which covered over 4,000 firms across 12 APAC economies, further highlights the region’s growing vulnerability. It found that companies in Asia Pacific are more prone to climate hazards than their global peers, with nearly half being highly exposed to multiple risks2.

Mark Fletcher, Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions, APAC, said: “Since its debut in November last year, Climate Spotlight has received strong interest and positive feedback from clients worldwide. In Asia Pacific, where climate change risks are intensifying, understanding and acting on climate risk exposure is more important than ever. As leaders in Risk Engineering, we developed Climate Spotlight to empower organizations to identify, prioritize, quantify, and address their climate risks, helping safeguard their people and assets for years to come.”

Climate Spotlight is available as two tailored solutions:

  • Climate Spotlight Core: An interactive self-service dashboard that enables organizations and public entities to quickly and flexibly identify climate risk exposure for up to 100 sites worldwide.
  • Climate Spotlight Expert: Offers advanced customization, including business and exposure-related metrics, vulnerability data, analysis for any number of sites, and expert consultation throughout the process.

Climate Spotlight delivers actionable insights for both strategic and operational decisions, simplifying climate-related reporting with full alignment to ISSB IFRS2 climate related disclosures. and compliance with frameworks such as TCFD and CSRD.  It also delivers insights and data necessary for climate reporting, covering four different climate change scenarios up to the year 2100. This analysis includes risk identification, risk materiality and hazard evolution, which can be integrated directly into the TCFD3 framework and is compatible with CSRD4 requirements.

This launch underscores Zurich’s global commitment to supporting customers through the climate transition, helping them manage risks and build resilience for a brighter future.
