Zurich Insurance Group Appoints Megan Shao as Chief Claims Officer, Asia Pacific
Megan rejoins Zurich from AXA XL, where she served as Head of Claims, Asia, bringing more than 17 years of experience in claims management. Prior to this, she served as Head of Financial Lines & Casualty Claims, Asia Pacific, Zurich Insurance. In her new role, Megan will lead Zurich’s claims function across APAC, driving the development and execution of claims strategies to ensure efficient handling and exceptional customer service across all lines of business in the region.

Megan will work closely with claims teams across APAC to advance Zurich’s claims strategy, enhance customer relationships, and ensure operational excellence. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, Megan brings a global perspective and a passion for developing talent, supporting business growth, and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Megan will report to Sean Walker and will be based in Singapore. She is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and the Chinese Culture University in Taipei.
