Zurich Edge Propositions—Giving Customers Confidence, Clarity, and Control Wherever They Go
Zurich unveils innovative digital policy cards and travel alerts for customers across Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia.
Singapore, 23 September 2025 – Zurich Insurance (Zurich) today announces the launch of two new customer-focused features as part of its Zurich Edge proposition: Digital Wallet Policy Cards and Travel Alerts. These additions are designed to provide customers with seamless, secure, and convenient access to critical insurance information, while also offering enhanced safety when travelling.
“Digital innovation is reshaping the way customers experience insurance,” said Roopa Malhotra, Head of Customer & Digital, APAC at Zurich Insurance. “Our Digital Wallet Policy Cards and Travel Alerts put policy information and emergency support at customer’s fingertips, giving them greater control and confidence. This delivers real value to our distribution partners, which include some of Asia’s leading travel and automotive brands, enabling them to offer tailored, real-time support that sets a new benchmark for customer experience in insurance.”
Digital Wallet Policy Cards
The Digital Wallet Policy Cards are being delivered in collaboration with one of the ‘2023 Zurich Innovation Championships’ winners, Miss Moneypenny Technologies, creating a first-of-its-kind solution for Travel and Motor insurance across Asia Pacific. The digital cards will integrate with both Google Wallet and Apple Wallet, enabling customers to instantly access policy details, emergency contact information, and essential Zurich services such as secure portals and claims forms.
Customers can also share policy details with family members or trusted contacts via QR codes and hyperlinks on the cards—a particularly valuable feature for motor and travel insurance, where quick access to information can be critical during emergencies. Over time, the digital cards will be updated to deliver real-time policy information, including claims progress, policy changes, and renewal reminders.
“By stitching Zurich’s ecosystem and service channels into the wallet, we are making insurance part of people’s routines. The Digital Wallet Policy Card is not just digital proof, but a living, interactive connection to Zurich’s services—human-centred, frictionless, and always at hand,” said Anna Bojic, Founder & CEO of Miss Moneypenny Technologies.
Travel Alerts: Keep Journeys Informed and Travellers Confident
Zurich is also enhancing its travel insurance offering with Travel Alerts, powered by Riskline. These alerts provide travellers with pre-trip advice and real-time updates during their journeys, ensuring they can respond quickly to unexpected events. Delivered straight to customers’ email inboxes, the alerts offer timely support without the need to download or manage additional apps—making peace of mind more accessible than ever.
Features include convenient and summarized information sent directly to customers, that covers pre-travel safety intelligence, immediate alerts if conditions change, and a safety-focused lens for specific cohorts of travellers (such as solo travellers and female travellers), addressing a growing customer demand for risks mitigation and management while travelling.
“Our partnership with Zurich underscores the importance of putting traveller safety at the heart of the insurance experience. By providing timely, relevant alerts directly to Zurich’s customers, we ensure they feel supported and informed before and during their journeys, reducing uncertainty and allowing them to travel with peace of mind,” said Suzanne Sangiovese, CEO of Riskline.
Recent customer feedback from a survey conducted by Riskline underscores the value of these services: 100% of respondents said that such travel alerts help users feel better informed and safer, and 77% reported feeling less stressed and more secure when travelling with access to them.
Powered by the ‘Zurich Edge Platform’—Zurich’s proprietary digital distribution platform across Asia Pacific—the initial rollout will begin in Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. Customers in these markets will gain access to Zurich Edge’s new digital-first features across travel and motor insurance. These three markets represent the first wave, with plans to expand across APAC through both direct-to-consumer and partner channels in the coming months.
