Available at a competitive and reasonable annual premium, the policy is designed to provide customers who would like to be better prepared for the impact of an earthquake with a financially accessible and straightforward product. Customers are rewarded for their proactive approach to protection through a market-first3 ‘earn-and-burn’ rewards feature, which leverages DOCOMO’s popular "d-points" loyalty program. With this feature, customers who opt to purchase their policy through the user-friendly "d-pay®" app4 will receive additional "d-points" equivalent to 1% of the premium on a successful policy purchase.5 Points can then be used for future premium payments or for other lifestyle benefits available on the app.

Delivering on the shared commitment between both companies to provide a differentiated customer value proposition via digital-first experiences, the "DOCOMO Earthquake Relief Money Insurance" triggers an automatic claims payment when coverage conditions are met for swift delivery of relief funds, without the customer having to provide any forms for damage verification. In the unfortunate event of an earthquake of seismic intensity six or higher in the customer's area, accompanied by a government-issued evacuation order lasting more than 24 hours,6 the policy guarantees a payout of 50,000 yen within three days.7 This ensures that customers can quickly access funds to cover immediate expenses, providing much-needed financial relief during challenging times.
